Here is a nice idea I found by Aira Tran for simple glass jar candle holders that could make lovely table decorations for Christmas (or any time really). The ‘ingredients’ are simple : a glass jar, some craft glue, brush, glitter, decorating ribbons / chain (if you want them) and the glue to attach them to the jar opening.

Step 1

Take some glue (in this example Mod Podge is being used) and brush it around the inside of the jar up to about the two thirds level.

Step 2

Put a spoonful of your choice of glitter into the newly stickified (is that even a word?) jar.

Step 3

Roll the jar around in your hands to attach the glitter fairly evenly to the inside of the jar and then shake out any excess.

Step 4

Place a dab of glue onto the rim of the jar and wind around the decoration ribbon.

Step 5

Repeat step 4 for a chain or other decoration to go around the newly stuck on ribbon.
